On behalf of the General Secretariat and the UCCP in general, allow me to express our happiest congratulations to you all on your 85th Foundation Anniversary this coming May 12-18, 2003.

The UCCP is truly proud to have Bethany Hospital, whose humanitarian services in the area of health are undoubtedly known and appreciated all throughout the Visayas jurisdictions, not just by the churches but equally by society at large. We are proud that Bethany Hospital is deeply committed to the UCCP thrust of Health and Wholeness within the ambit of its quadrennial theme: "Proclaiming the Reign of God Amidst of Greed: Our Prophetic Witness."

May the 85th year of your life be the beginning of a more aggresive and purposive health program, not only for those who may come into your doorsteps, but most specially for the thousands in the outlaying areas who may have less or no access at all to health services which they badly need. May your foundation day be a strong reminder that the ministry of Health and Wholeness is one of UCCP's very important thrusts. To preach, to teach and to heal as Jesus did, makes it easier for the people to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ whom we acknowledge as the Lord of our Life and of our history.
